Weekend stroll on a freezing sunday

Weekend stroll on a freezing sunday

On the steps
On the steps

So it clearly was not the best of days to go out (wind, cloudy and sooooo cold!) but going for a family stroll on a Sunday is almost a necessity. And so we did, Hasselblad (film camera) in hand (my husband's hand obviously).

My daughter was wearing comfy and warm clothes, all black and white: white duvet coat, black leggings, black trainers, black and white cardigan and white roll neck (inspiration below). Except.... Except for the snood. I bought this faux fur snood at Oliver Bonas last week (an absolute bargain at £6) and she has not been able to let it go since then. Too soft... This snood is actually coral but since the pictures are also all B&W, luckily it does not show, as in reality it blatantly did not match the rest of her outfit. But there was no way we were going out without Mr Little Rabbit...

I was also dressed in bi-color black & white: black fur coat (my daughter would also like to be able to wear (sleep) in that coat), white cashmere roll neck, grey denim, and black trainers (inspiration below).

The shouting above is actually because we were both freezing, and also pretending the big bad wolf was on his way to eat us both up.... Family strolls are usually full of unpredictable surprises like hidden evil hidden creatures of course.

We eventually managed to catch a hint of sun. So here is us both enjoying that rather ephemeral moment!

And that's me pretending I am actually enjoying freezing to death.
