After a recent ordeal in New York, I was craving for some family time. And although physically diminished, being off work meant I got to spend much more time with my daughter than I normally would which has been a great source of pleasure. And when I was strong enough to do more than stay in bed all day, we cooked together, painted, went out for walks and also enjoyed family picnics under the sun.

It felt so nice not to be wearing so many layers anymore and instead to be able to resuscitate the Summer wardrobe! My daughter was over the moon to be able to wear hats, sunglasses and sparkly sandals while I was finally able to take out a couple of my favourite summery outfits. It's funny how you end up buying so much sleeveless tops even though these are of very limited use in London...
